Databáze eviduje údaje o dokumentačních vzorcích z vrtů i souvislých vrtných jádrech ze strukturních a dalších významných vrtů provedených na území ČR od roku 1920, která jsou uložena v externích skladech ČGS (ve správě odboru Geofond). Databáze má přímou návaznost na databázi vrtů (GDO). V evidenci jsou i dokumentační vzorky ze šachet, přirozených nebo umělých výchozů a důlních děl.
Aplikace zpřístupňuje údaje o hmotné dokumentaci geologických objektů spravované odborem Geofond ve skladech ČGS. Jedná se o dokumentační vzorky z vrtů, ale i šachtic, důlních děl, významných přirozených i umělých výchozů. Zahrnuje i souvislá vrtná jádra. Aplikace je napojena na Archiv zpráv a posudků (ASGI), Geologicky dokumentované objekty (GDO) a mapu Vrtné prozkoumanosti.

CGS Metadata catalogue is the central access point to search information (metadata) about data sources that are maintained and provided for public by the CGS. It is based on MIcKA system, which enables the user to work with metadata of spatial data in accordance with international standards (ISO, OGC and INSPIRE). Metadata are administered centrally in a database, edited and viewed through a web interface, and published by means of a standardized catalogue service (CS-W).
Metalogenetic map of the Czech Republic 1: 500,000 (V. Sattran et al., 1980) shows spatial and temporal distribution and description of individual genetic types of ore deposits and selected non-metallic raw materials (fluorite, barite, gypsum, graphite, magnesite, stone salt, etc.) on the geological and tectonic basis.
This database contains information on reserved and non-reserved mineral deposits, prognosticated mineral resources, exhausted and abandoned deposits and resources, non-prospective areas, negative results of exploration, and geographic location of mineral resources.
INSPIRE View Service contains information on mineral deposits, prognosticated mineral resources and detected and protected deposit areas.

ArcGIS Server Service contains information on mineral deposits, prognosticated mineral resources and detected and protected deposit areas.
WMS service provides the access to basic information on mineral deposits and prognosticated resources in the territory of the Czech Republic, protected areas of mineral deposits, protected territories for special intervention into the Earth’s crust, exploration areas and mining leases.
