Abstract:
Web visualization of the photogrammetric 3D model of fossil fragments of a skeleton of a marine reptile of the family Elasmosauridae from the Upper Cretaceous (Snow Hill Island Formation) of Cap Lamb on Vega Island in Antarctica. Detailed view of plesiosaurid finger bone. Plesiosaurids have hyperphalangia, an increase in the number of finger bones compared to their ancestors. This is an evolutionary adaptation that led to an increase in fin surface area in marine reptiles
