This database contains the results of geochemical analyses conducted during state-funded geological exploration work in the Czech Republic from the 1950s to the present.
The database was developed as part of the "Unified Geochemical Database" project, which was carried out by Geomin cooperative in 1996-2004 and contracted by the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of the Environment. The aim of the project was to collect all available, hitherto unprocessed, geochemical and mineralogical data obtained during state-funded geological exploration in the Czech Republic, to evaluate their importance, and to store all relevant data. The data were extracted mainly from preliminary and final reports archived at CGS-Geofond. In 2004, the stored data were accessed by CGS-Geofond, verified and transferred to the CGS-Geofond Information System.
